In order to vigorously promote the professionalism of the health system of "respecting and protecting life, being willing to contribute, and loving no boundaries", further ease the shortage of clinical blood supply during the epidemic, and meet the victory of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions. On the morning of September 26, the Youth League Committee of our hospital, together with Hainan Blood Center, organized a free blood donation activity in the third quarter of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University.

Wang Jihao, the deputy secretary of the hospital's Party committee and the secretary of the discipline inspection commission, and the department director took the lead in setting an example and participating in this love blood donation activity. The hospital's medical workers actively participated.

The employees who came to participate in the unpaid blood donation activities were enthusiastic. Before the activity started, there was a long queue at the scene. At 8:15 a.m., everyone filled in the registration form, physical examination and test under the guidance of the staff of the provincial blood center in strict accordance with the epidemic prevention and control regulations, and got on the blood donation vehicle orderly to participate in blood donation in turn.

Among these unpaid blood donors, there are many clinical medical staff, administrative and logistics personnel and regular trainees who have just finished their mission of supporting anti epidemic. As soon as they returned to their familiar posts, they took the initiative to participate in the love blood donation activities. The hot blood slowly flows into the blood collection bags. They use little drops of blood to gather the love of medical workers and send warmth and hope to the patients in urgent need of blood.

Our hospital actively organizes and carries out unpaid blood donation activities, which is a practical action of hospital culture construction and cultural promotion. The medical staff in the hospital took an active part in social responsibility and demonstrated the great feelings of doctors' benevolence and the lofty quality of "saving the dying and healing the wounded" by taking practical actions, demonstrating the positive and willing spirit of the people in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Medical University.

In a short period of half a day, 89 people have volunteered to donate blood without compensation, with a total amount of 27400ml.
