Official Invitation (First Announcement)

Dear distinguished guests and to whom it may concern,

We would like to cordially invite you and your teams to attend the “2016 Asia Pacific International Emergency Forum (APIEF) - Annual Conference of Hainan Provincial Society for Emergency Medicine”. This prestigious symposium will be mainly hosted by the Medical Association of Hainan Province and jointly sponsored by the Intensive Care Medicine Department of Hainan Medical University, the Asia Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine and the Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University. The forum will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of December 2016 in the coastal city, Haikou of Hainan Province.

Hainan has been selected as a strategic partner for the “21st Century Oversea Silk Road” national initiative and therefore is well positioned within the country on frontier programmes. The province itself has grown to a well-known international tourism island, hosting numerous conference and attracting visitors worldwide annually; for instance, over 53 million travellers visited Hainan in 2015 alone. Our forum will mainly focus on how to elevate Emergency Medicine’s reputation on further perfecting the construction of the international tourism island, how to ensure precise implementation of emergent practices, and how to innovate within traditional emergency medicine by combining it with the characteristics of Hainan’s tropic climate.

The forum will further elaborate on the international information exchange of crucial developments within frontier medical practices and utilise “big data” to emphasise the growth of precise emergency medicine. We will also facilitate debates and discussions on topics such as how to expand the coverage of emergency treatments, how emergency medicine can bring earlier initial warning notices to epidemic diseases, and how to apply intervention treatments into emergency practices.

Attendees will participate in themed seminars, case studies, and panel discussions during the three-day event. In the meantime, we have also open our application process to collect research papers relevant to precise medical practices on emergency medicine and preventative care, intervention treatments, trauma care, new material and new technology. The short-listed papers will be awarded first, second or third prizes with certificates and incentive bonus. Please note the application dateline will be the 1st of October, 2016. The forum will also authorise 6 credit points of “Type I” national level for continuous medical education.
